Frequency Counter Question

    Hey guys,

    I just scored a Heathkit IM-4100 frequency counter on Fleabay, but it doesn't have a probe. The counter measures up to about 30mhz and has a BNC input connection. For projects that are 30mhz and under, do I need an oscilloscope probe? I have read that I need everything from a 10x probe up to 100mhz probe. Any help would be appreciated.
