Been awhile since Ive been in the market for a new radio. So Im looking for advice for a good online shop or a good shop in Missouri. Prefer responses from those with personal experience with shop they recommend. Hearsay tends to be 98% bs. Thanks in advance.

Bells CB shop....Bought my last 2 radios from them. Great service and no complaints.
The tune on my Galaxy 98VHP was great! Screwdriver does good work.jessejamesdallas and Danfromwindsor Thank this. -
I've bought from Bell's before and have no complaints...(except for the turn-around time) took about a month to get my radio. But Bell's also will post a video of your radio on Youtube so you can see what it was doing while on their bench before it was shipped out...
Custom CB Radio is also good, but again, plan on a wait...
GI Joe's has about the best turn-around time, and best prices...Everything I have ever bought from them I got within a week, and never had a problem out of them either...
That said...You can't please everyone, and no matter which shop you go with, there's always going to be people who say "That place blow's"...(to put it nicely)Danfromwindsor and EZ Money Thank this. -
You're in Missouri....take a trip up US 65 out of Sedalia go north past I-70....and head into Marshall. A man named Wayne Eichelberger has a shop there on 802 N. Main.
Danfromwindsor Thanks this. -

I have been very pleased with Custom cb radios.I have a Galaxy 929 that was set up with dual finals and kickin about 50 watts. I have also been pleased with Clays radio shop.
Danfromwindsor Thanks this. -
I received a Cobra 29LXBT from GI Joes Radio four months ago in October 2014. I am totally impressed. Turnaround time was less than a week. I also paid the extra $40 for the Peak and Tune stuff that they do. So far the radio works very well. Ive talked to people over 1,000 miles away and they hear me loud and clear. I want to order a power mic from them now.
I just emailed GI Joes last week and they responded very quickly to answer my question. I also emailed questions to them last fall during and after my radio arrived and they responded very quickly then too.
They have been very professional so far. -
Go to Amazon or ebay for your mic. Your radio from GI Joes is a stock radio guaranteed. The extra 40 bucks you spent you were simply ripped off. I have seem lots of Radios from there over the years and never found one other than rock stock. -
Hmmmm.....I wonder how I can check to see the truth without removing the warranty seal on the side.

Just west of Springfield on I-44 at Exit 61 in Hoods' Truck Stop. (I'm sure the one TurboT recommended is good too, but this one might be closer to you or more handy.)
