Hello. I'm new to the forum so I will apologize ahead of time. I'm quite sure this question has been answered many times so bear with me. I was debating between the wilson 1000 and 5000 magnetic mount antennas. Then someone told me to look at the sirio 5000 performer antenna. I have a cobra 29 lx chr le radio (brand new). Flying J was clearing it out, so I got it for $30. I'm asking the forum which would be a better buy. All three antenna are priced within $10 of each other, so I'm trying the best antenna the first time.
Thanks in advance to anyone that can help...

I doubt if any of them will perform any better than the other. I have and do use the Wilson 1000 and have used the 5000. You can run more power through the 5000, but it won't perform any better than the 1000. I think the Sirio 5000 is longer, which usually means better performance. I have never used one, but several on here have recommended them so I wouldn't be afraid to try one. Wilson's are about 5ft long. I think the Sirio is about a foot longer, but I'm not sure.

Mike, thanks for the reply. That length of whip would be okay for gmc 3500 crew cab? Thanks again...

I have my Wilson mounted dead center on the roof my little pickup, GMC Sonoma. I still whack stuff overhead at banks etc. Even if you mount your antenna at bed hight, the tip of a 5' or 6' antenna will still hit stuff occasionally.

In regards to antenna, see whether you would like magnetic one or permanent. -
