CB tuning troubles

    Have a Peterbilt 379
    with a Wilson 5000 cab mounted in centerfold cab
    using a cobra 29 LX LE
    Swr cal is cranked up and still not properly tuned
    Swr is still@ 3

    Any suggestion

    Get some sleep and come back when you can write a understandable question????????? ;-)

    Seriously, sounds like one of two things. Not using the SWR meter properly, if you are even using a meter instead of the built in inaccurate one. Or, bad RF ground......not something you can fix by just running a ground wire!

    Sounds like he does not understand the SWR calibrate knob.....
    Turn meter to FWD,key the Mic and adjust knob to right so needle is at set mark,
    Turn meter to REF,Key Mic....that is SWR reading..
    The built in meters are junk anyway.
