Does the whip on the Sirio 5000 move more than the Wilson? Have a 2014 Volvo daycab. Was thinking about mounting it on airline slider bar on back of cab. My concern is it banging on top of fairing.

I got a Wilson 1000 and I'm about 1 to 1.2 on my sir for channel 1,19,40 barefoot we were talking about 10 Km's and with my linear on my buddy could hear me about 20 mins away from where he was. Huge step up from k30 I was trying to use. As 1 fella suggested I would love to have a cb tech match my linear to the cb and antenna to make it work better but it's very hard to find a cb tech in my part of the world. Not sure why but it is. Any other suggestions are appreciated and I appreciate you guys that have already made suggestions to me.

No it does not move like the Wilson. But I have the Mag (UHF)Mount. It's like the Wilson 1000/5000 Mag mount. I see 5 or more miles over my Wilsons. I have even seen 20 more miles one time while parked swapping out antennas. They do make a Sirio Performer 5000 3/8 10m & CB Mobile Trucker Antenna. Look at the 2 below.

I that you will be glad that you did. I ran Wilsons since 1994 and loved them. But after reading this in CB Magazine. Plus a few other reviews I took the plunge. I really love it. I use it for both 10 & 11 meters. It's tuned for 26.950 Mhz @ 1:7 SWR-28.740 Mhz @ 1:8 SWR. Channel 19 is @1:3 SWR. 27.555 Mhz has 1:0 SWR. 28.500 Mhz @ 1:5. This are reading on my MFJ 259. I do see 5 or more miles on contacts over my Wilsons on both vans. I have both on Sirio 145 Mag mounts. These are on a 2004 Chrysler Town & Country mini van. And a 2008 Chrysler Town & Country mini van. Radio is a Magnum 257 non-HP model and RCI 2950 DX. I've never got out like I do now. And I'm not running a Amp. I talking over 15 miles to mobiles on a bad day. And much more on a good one maybe 30+. And worldwide on 10 meters. Check some CB Forums and look for reviews then judge for yourself.

No, he just does online. You tube and many of the CB radio forums. If you look you'll see post for antennas, radios, and Small Amplifiers.
