My 15 year old Cobra 25 finally gave a up the ghost a few weeks ago. I was thinking of getting a new 25, but was wondering if there is anything out there size/dimension wise that is better. I always liked the compact size of the 25 compared to the 29.

    Any ideas folks?

    Thanks
    John

Unless it is completely worn out, I'd just get it fixed and keep on using it.........

JMHO, I would look for a 25 made no later than 2000, especially a phillipines made one. The quality is not in the newer ones. EBAY just had a one/owner for under $30 including shipping.

Uniden PC68 is just as good, and is usually a little cheaper

Galaxy 979 is a more compact size galaxy radio that I have had in the past and was happy with.

The 979 is the same size as the Cobra 29. The 25 is smaller.
