Hey everyone, I have a connex 3300 radio with a standard Mic, I was wondering how the road devil astatic power Mic would work with this radio. It's been peaked and tuned with a Wilson 2000 antenna. Would the power Mic be too echoey with this radio? Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated!! Ty and safe travels.

It will work....But there's better Power Mic's out there for around the same price as the RD...

Check out the "RF Limited Extreme 2018", power mic's.

Echo should be controlled at your radio.
and your mic gain generally controlled at radio
I would suggest just using a sandals astatic 636l mic.
connex 3300 is a good radio. Look for clear modulation let slight echo help your swing

As for the road devil, I didn't like it when I tried it. Cosmetically is wasn't up to par. Battery pocket a little tight, and didn't have a need for power mic as to built in power functions on the radio

Ranger SRA 198.......Sounds deeper and better built than the Astatic junk they sell now.
    Half the price too!

    jessejamesdallas Thanks this.

Totally agree...The SRA 198 is by far the best noise cancelling Mic on the market...Not a power Mic, but if you are in a noisy environment, or drive with your windows down all the time, these things are great...I use one in my work van.

Is the 2018 better than the CR-577?

The 2018 just has more options on it. 2018 has a Noise Cancelling switch, TB, more echo options for different sound effects. Other than that, both are similar as to design and the Mic element's are the same, just the 2018 has a few more tricks.

If a hack n clip tech has clipped the limiter or added a bs mod kit, forget about a power mic. If your limiter is still working and AMC is set to 100% the Astatic D104m6b will sound great.
