Got the Firestik No ground plane setup and installed it on the driver side mirror. Was able to get a radio check response from a guy 4 miles down the interstate so that's way better than the previous setup. However now my radio is almost maxed out to the right on the RF meter when I key up. Is this a bad thing or just normal for the setup? I haven't got an SWR gauge on it but I plan to stop at a CB shop and have it check it out. Thanks for everyone's help so far.

If you are talking 4 miles, leave it alone. That 's pretty good for a 4 watt radio.
