I dunno 'bout y'all, but I suffer from RBA

They do pretty good. I've got a old one...or did, I may have traded it off.

 

2 cobra 29 ltd classics, 1 cobra 25 ltd, 2 radio Shack trc 318, 1 htx 202, 1 htx 242, 1 Icom IC 2100h, 1 icom 706 mk2g, 1 galaxy 959, 1 rci 2950, 1cobra 19 plus. 1lafayette 140 , 1 trinadad, 1 courier, no I don't suffer from RBA, my wife is nervous though.

 

Well, you got to have a spare...and a spare to back up your spare...and a spare to back up your other spare...and a spare to...yeah, I have rba too.

 

As a bassist who gigs pretty steadily, I suffer from a similar malady, called GAS ("Gear Acquisition Syndrome"). Symptoms are similar, although I have a coping mechanism in place to curb my addiction: I don't buy more music or radio gear until either band gigs or radio bench repairs pay for the new stuff, and/or I sell off enough existing stuff to afford the replacements.

And I *never" get rid of music gear 😊

The "little woman" has learned that the proper answer to the question, "How many (basses, amps, radios, etc.,) do you need, anyway?" is ALWAYS "Just one more, Dear."

 

agreed, after years with a Galaxy Base station, playing with ham and linear amps. I am on my 3rd radio in 4 years..
