CB, or No CB?

    So, just at the end if my first week. Now I must ask.....I've noticed that every trucker says they "rarely" ever use their CB. So I must ask, is it even worth it? I'm currently sitting at a Loves in Tennessee which currently has the uniden 880 on sale for $80.00.

    A real truck driver has a radio. You can't even get loaded and unloaded at some places without one.

    Since I'm so new at this. I'm still undecided, but the $80 Uniden is tempting. I'm also considering a dash cam as well. Got most necessity type creature comforts already so my list is getting short.

    Yeah , they're worth it. If the bs starts, and you don't wanna hear it, they all have an off switch. That's a good buy for that radio. Don't forget, you'll need an antenna and coax if your truck is not already equipped.

    I'm in a Volvo 670, it has the coax & antenna preinstalled.

    I vote yes! I even have one in my pickup truck... On 19 whenever I'm driving. It is a useful tool IMO.

    Last Loves I was at ran out of these Unidens. I'm gonna go inside & see if this location has them in stock.

    Dash cam first, then CB. The cam could save your butt in a collision-lawsuit.

    I ended up picking up the Bearcat 880 at this Loves I'm camped out in. The $80 was kinda hard to pass up. I'll definately be getting the dashcam very soon, maybe even later today.
