Drivers, if you are having to stop in Seguin , TX either 610 or 607 and leave your truck unattended during the night hours, take your CB RADIO out of your truck. There have been 8 incidents reported to Seguin police and who knows how many have not been reported. I hate to give these guys credit but they are precise and leave no trace, in and out of your truck in less than 5 mins, they are only after your radio, 10 meter or better. If you have a cobra don't worry. I had my cobra up after the first theft and then I had my general Lee stolen in 5 mins when I left the truck. I had the passenger door disabled so you can only enter through the outside or somehow use a tool to spin the window handle shaft. They used a drill and a square socket to roll window down but made sure to roll up. Accessed by the passenger side view window. They took my work boots the 2nd time around. BEWARE YOUR RADIO WILL GROWN LEGS AND WALK OFF.

Go look at the local CB shops, someone knows what they're stealing.

You have read my mind. Informed the investigator today that the "lookout" that was caught on camera trying his best to not act suspicious......looks like the one in my truck recently doing some antenna work and asking about my passenger door security rig up.

Used to be I would glue a razor blade to the back of the CB but it's probably illegal, plus now the worry over the dirty blood of theives.

I think it is legal to chop off their hand if you catch them red-handed!

CB thefts used to be so common in the 1970's, people would put their social security numbers on them with an electric etching pencil. Today in this day and age of identity theft, that would be taboo. Better off to let them take the radio.

Of course I don't see too many truckers using those quick release brackets for CB radios that were common back then to help deter thieves. Just like the old pull out stereos....take the whole radio out and inside with you, even if it's a bit on the clunky side.

Yeah, I did all that...still half of my hand tools have my SS# engraved somewhere on them...about all those "quick-Release" brackets were good for, was making it easier for the thieves"....

Personally I didn't know people still stole CB radios...I've had my Suburban broken into twice, and both times they took everything in sight, but left all the CB stuff, and Amp's...
