I run dual Francis 5.5 ft antennas....the main reason is it's soooo hard to get the swr's right.....and Francis antennas are pre-tuned. I've talked 28 miles on my Galaxy and run right about 1:1 swrs. I did have to add and 18' coax to the one that came in the truck. It was only about 4' long. Francis antennas are hard to beat for their price and performance.

its not hard at all to tune antennas with tunable tips.... i mean ive got 4' wilsons and they are pretty easy to tune
