In answer to your question, he is right, its 14.302.5. They have an agreement with the Maritime net on 14.300, so unless the net himself comes down, don't let anyone bother you. There is a lot of guys listening, not always talking, in the morning. Any other time, try the CARS systems on 40M. Depending on where you are, they all are between 7.250 to 7.260. At night, listen on nets like 3905 WAS nets and you will here a lot. Same goes for 14.336 County Hunters. But these really are not chat freqs.

ROFL, you guys that don't understand what the question is is really confusing the situation, but its funny. He is not even talking about CB at all! LOL BTW most countries have went from this crap AM 27Mhz system and have went to another "CB" option. Its on UHF I believe and its FM! Not anything like you think of CB. Its whole roll is communication, not noise making and talking over each other. But this type of CB that we have in America has become Americana. So I doubt we will switch to the better option like the rest of the world has anytime soon.
