youd be better off getting an antenna at a store youll probably save, i know wilson silverloads are great antennas and are tunable tip, (the cobra 29 has a meter so you can tune it yourself) and costs about 20 bucks, probably a lot better than you can get online after shipping. lots of people like the wilson 1k and 2k's

the francis 4.5 foot is a good CHEAP antenna. 20 bucks no tuning required.
]the 5.5 ft is good but i found i could hear further than i could talk.

no tuning required.... all antennas should be tuned to the specific vehicle they are going to be on. no tunable tip maybe? or preset? those don mean no tuning required

Ok as i stated before I dont know crap about cbs but I just put a 4ft francis on my truck only had 12ft of coax im gonna get 18 ft when i go back out I hooked it up to my cobra 25 when I turn it on I get alot of static in order to get rid of the static I have to turn my rf gain to where the knob is almost straight up almost half way i guess now when it was hooked to the factory antenna I could leave the rf gain all the way open and wouldnt get any static so how is it supposed be?
