| antenna wire Hey guys, I accidentaly cut my antenna wire yesturday when I was mounting my antenna on the mirrors of my truck, my question is can I cut and re-wire the end of the antenna cable so I can keep using it? if so how?  |

| if you cut the end of the cable yeah sure, but you cant splice that type of coax. its very ineffective. dont get me wrong a couple out their have done it and had it worked but its not recommended. If you cut it and just want to put a new end on, go to radio shack pick up a pl-259 connector, and it all depends on which one you get on how it connects. you can get one you slide on and tighten a set screw or you can get a solder on tip, if you havent done it the solder less is very easy. |
