honestly... i think its because people know its claiming some bogus things...
i mean it looks the same as a lot of other antennas, and looks easy to tune, that would be nice... but guaranteeing 2x the range of a store bought antenna..? how can you possibly advertise that... maybe "may operate better than this $3 plastic store bought antenna...." i hope it works out for you, who knows it may turn out to be the best one youve bought yet, or it could be the same as everyother one youve bought... we'll see.

ah, someone asking for opinions really wants opinions... how odd.... and original... Ha,
well i know some homemade antennas can be pretty sweet, just as good as any store bought antenna. Their are so many ways to make antennas, i this guy found a way to make it look the way he wants and have it do a good job. Then awesome... honestly i think it can only be as good as any instore antenna... and it probably will be. Good luck

Thumbs up

I like the way it looks, you'll get all kinds of comments on it which will help pass the time. That is, if it works. I love my Predator though

Looks the same as the antenna sold in the truck stops and radio shack to me,, i had one that looked just like it, bought from a radio shop, had it on a ford bronco mounted off the side of the front fender, worked good for the radio it was hooked to.

I would pass on it... I know a few guys who make their own antennas and they sure would not look like one you would buy at a store... 2X comment should give you a hint that its a load of bull.... Honestly though I would simply have to try it out before i could tell you anything about it, but I assure you it will not get 2X better then a Striker or Monkey Made type antenna..
