Sir, my hat is off to you. Good to see a quote from some one that has obviously been down the path. I just grin when drivers walk by my truck and see that big-o Fatboy mounted going through an in-line watt meter transmitting through full-length Preditors standing 13 ft 9 inches in the air, throwing 600-plus out. I just got out AND down in the Ft. Worth area. (Yes, antennas do bank on a few things but homemade flat plate across mirror brackets keep it in place.)
powerful CB?

Also the general by it self does pretty well swinging around 40-50 watts on hi. No need for kicker unless you want a little more in the way of power. I just don't get why people want to push their radios past their limits and blast out all that distortion and shorten their lifespan greatly. Mine will last forever this way and sounds awesome.mike5511 Thanks this. -

If you are gonna turn a twin final radio down, like the Gen Lee, a good radio indeed, to run with a amp, just save a few bucks and drive it with a Cobra 29. 2 watts is 2 watts no matter what radio you have. And yes I can hook you up with a 29 and a amp I believe.

I had my general lee bare back before getting the amp. Also, it's not that high of a priced radio and I can still run the radio without the amp and get out better than the 29 will. For what I have in it, I'm happy with the setup. I think it may swing higher than the 29 and that's really where this amp does well. Low DK with a good swing. -
I'd rather have the Gen Lee as well, but I've got a Cobra 25 and my brother has a 29 that both get accused of being a "big radio" all the time. You can get more swing out of the Gen Lee for sure, but you can do more than a adequate job with a 29 or 25 as well, especially with an amp. (My 25 has had the final and driver changed as well.)
