Need a Radio - Not sure if this the place to post.......

Y'all - I'm looking to pick up a radio for the beginning of my career. I don't have alot of money to spend - well honestly - I don't have any "extra" to spend but I can come up with something. I don't wanna be caught Naked while running my first load on the Regional Route. I can pay you something, pretty much for anything that works, and please bear in mind that I also need to buy an antenna.

Any help, point directions, and/or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

So I don't violate the Forum "AGAIN" please PM me and I can get you my phone number or any other critical information.

Again - Anything that can be done is GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!

See ya'll very soon on the road!!!!

John
Handle will either be "Bonehead" or "Dart"

money will be best spent on antenna then a good coax and then a good radio. I have had a ton of radios during my years and if I were you Id go with a midland 68 or 78. If you want more power you can get an amp later. Just my 2 cents

I see you are in Colorado. Go see Chuck, he has a little shop that is just north of the T/A in Denver on Quebec. If you went out the rear entrance of the truck stop, you would go straight into his lot. He might have something he could fix you up with cheap and he won't take advantage of you either. He is the only guy who works on any of my radio gear these days.
