connex 3300 with fatboy amp

i got a amp for my connex 3300hp... i bought a fatboy 900 watt.. i got it installed today.. and i went to test out my amp and when i turn it on.. i hear humming from my radio and doesnt seem like anyone can hear me..

people can hear me better with just my connex without the box on.. my connex has been tuned and peaked to the max.. and my swing with the amp on is far less then without it on..

does anyone have an answer?

Someone is telling you a load of "BULL"...That radio will run that box just fine. What you need to do however, is have the radios DK dialed back to NOT MORE than 1 to 2w's....You try and drive a 10w DK into any 4 pill amp., and you'll see fireworks within seconds!

That radio, with that 4 pill should do around 500w's swing. But first have your radios DK turned down to 1-2w's, and just let'er swing!

If it is a high drive then you don't turn down the radio..... (unless you have a radio such as a Galaxy 95T doing a 100 Watt dead key...)

That radio still should be able to push that amp....
Do a Google search for a radio shop called steelrod... call them and tell them what you have.. they will hook you up properly...

its true, i was using my amp on side band (where their is no dead key so you can throw as much powr as you want) and i switched to AM keyed up and killed an amp like that putting 12w dead key on the am channel into it.

you might hve killed your amp already.... especially if people cant hear you.... thats what happned after i killed mine (my pre amp still worked)

good luck

A high drive you can put more power into from a dead key... A low drive you have to turn the radio down to around 3 watts....

So, no it is not 100% correct....
Big difference between a High drive and a low drive.. I like to see you power a sweet 16 pushing 3 watts dead key....
