| The weather part of the radio takes away from the performance of the CB. The sound tracker is not needed. Just get a regular cobra 29 classic. If you like to hear yourself talk then get one of the chrome models as they have talkback also. If the truck does not have weatherband in the factory radio then a small handheld weather radio will be all that is needed and they are extremely cheap. |

| I quess if you leave it stock then it might be ok to have weather but a properly peaked and tuned non weather CB will outperform a CB with weather that has been peaked and tuned by the same tech. |

| well , ill agree to disagree until i actually see or hear of any example of a problem corrected by removing a weather board or of a 29/68/78 model radio that has one . all radios will vari a lil in what they will do , 1 or 2 more or less watts betweens radios is common and will never be noticed on a properly tuned cb radio . |

| I can't see how the weather band can effect the AM operation. They are separate circuits. It's like saying that a radio with a CD player can't pick up stations as well.

| I exchanged my WX NW ST for a Galaxy DX959. So far I'm lovin the 959 a lot more. |

| I bought a cobra 29 night tracker and paired it with a k-30 antenna, I can't get weather channels very well. My hand held picks up two channels. Is this a good radio antenna match? |

| Maybe on yours, but not on mine. My weather alarm will scream even if the radio is turned off.

Looking at the Walcott CB site, it is showing the NOAA works on the Power whip only. Not the Super flex. I have a 4' Power Whip on my dually, with a Cobra 29 NW WX ST. Works just fine. |

radios and you are talking to another user who has a radio that IS NOT EQUIPPED with sound tracker there is no benefit to these. Otherwise these are pretty unstable units in TX mode.
