Just wondering

so i got a cobra 29 couple months ago brand new to put in my suv. i hooked it up and slapped a lil will ant. with it. now i did the tuning the box told me to do, but nothing else if feel like its not good enough. its usally pretty static like unless im darn close to you all.so im wondering is that how it should be cuz i got the cheap ant. should i get the wilson 5000 should i get it tuned professianaly. if so dose any one know a good place around kankekee il.

if your swr is not right it won't work good.so bad antenna will be bad performance.have someone check that then take it from there.

I have a lil wil and dont seem to have that problem. i just turn the squelch up till i dont hear any background noise. I would take it to a cb shop and see if theyed chech the swr for free. If its bad then ask them if they would tune it.

If it needs to be tuned just stick with the lil wil cuz even if you get the 1000 magnet you will still have to have them tune it.(yes the 1000 or 5000 will perform better)
