I have at least 3 bluetooth capable devices (phone, gps, laptop), but the headsets and earpieces can only attach to one, so it just isn't practical to add anything else since the cell phone has to have priority.

Think you are looking at it from behind there. ;)

I use the LTD29 BT model. The way it works is that it lets you answer your cell phone using the noise canceling mic that is included with it. You cannot use a bluetooth headset with the CB.

As far as how it works, I've seen reviews that say it works well, but I can tell you that I have encountered 3 of these radios, and all of them have the same issue as far as the bluetooth portion... it isn't loud enough for the called on the other end. The noise cancellation works quite well, though, and if you talk loudly anyways, I imagine you wouldn't have much trouble.

What I love about this radio... it looks very cool. By far, this is the best looking stock Cobra radio on the market. The black face and chrome (not overdone chrome) accents are just a great mix. The blue lighting looks cool at night, and I've had many drivers compliment how it makes the cab glow a faint blue. This model also comes with the best mic I've ever seen on a Cobra. The mic, for CB purposes, is actually great. Other features included are: Talk Back and Dynamic. The basic features are the same as all other LTD29's.

I've done my own mods to the radio, turning up VR4, tuning the SWR, installing the larger resistors to get the radio to swing, so far it's been a champ.

What I wish it had... Nightwatch display, with blue lettering. If it had that, I think I would be perfectly content with this radio.

    Wedgezilla Thanks this.

I have found that I have to put the mike right to my mouth when I'm on the phone,as opposed to keeping it a not as close when it is on the CB mode:Tank truck:

I just bought mine last night and was really impressed. I read some of the post above and like the reviews I've read before buying it there are mixes. First I can leave the mike hanging from the ceiling in the cab and everyone I talk to says they can tell a difference from that or holding it close to my mouth. and I drive a day cab Shakeliner.

By some reason there could be something with the particular phone you use to connect to the CB, I'm using a tried and tested Motorola E815. Maybe that has something to do with the sound quality.

I'm not a fan of the black face back ground so a upgrade could be in the future if they offer it in Chrome. I like the blue lighting but agree with Darkschneidr it should come in the nightwatch display so the lettering is lit-up. I think Cobra should make this a signature feature on all CB'.

I need to explore the manual more, but from testing last night I could only redial the last number I dialed by pushing the blue button on the mic. At this point I lost the hands free voice dialing like I had with the turbo button I had on my regular headset.

BTW I use a external speaker and the clarity might have a improvement than just the cb speaker

right after these radios came out, I found an RK56 microphone that was compatible with the 29BT, I just searched Ebay, and didnt find it. Maybe I saw it somewhere else.

Why not just buy a BT earpiece?

A friend of mine just got one and it is not easy to understand what he is saying. Plus he always hangs up by accident and has to call back.
