Trying to find the Wolfman shop

near Greenville, SC on I-85. My wife and I were near there, headed to the NC mountains and kept hearing his 'commercials' on 19. Did a google and could not find anything about it.

I want to get my RCI 2950DX repaired and thought I might use his shop unless anyone has some negatives about him or it.

All the time . . . truck stops, chrome shops, and CB shops all do it.

Just did another google and found this on another board:

Wolfman's Electronics in Carnesville, GA at exit 164 on I-85, in the usually vacant (sometimes there is a tenant) truck stop parking lot. He's in a little shop over in the corner of the lot, near the woods.

On most days, Brother Chris will be hawkin' on the radio, and, can be heard from Houston to Boston.

Six days a week, and, Wednesday is a short day because of prayer meeting on Wednesday night.

He ain't cheap, but, he's good and sells the good stuff. He'll horse trade ya, too. Great source for converted import radios and foot warmers. Installations are thorough and look like factory.

SWR is calibrated using an big resistance meter that measures ohms of resistance at the radio end of the coax. The radio is not in the equation.

Wolfman moved to the SC side of the boarder for a while (exit 4) into a nice suite upstairs of a truck stop. Right after the move his 16 year old Son, who was always with his dad in the shop, fell over dead from an aneurysm. They moved back to Georgia and their old shop. I haven't been to see them since. My last ride that deep into Dixie was the day after his death.

He was about 45 or 50 back then,I'd guess.

He removed an amplifier the con artist at the old 76 N of Charlotte I-77 had installed....(no effect on trans or receiving distance) .. I had requested a Connex.

He showed me what a sample Connex installation should look like.

I was very impressed with his honesty and professionalism.

Also amazed when he said he had never been more than 75 miles from his home in his life

Wolfman's shop is located at exit 164 in Georgia on I-85. I believe that is the exit it's in the 160's I know. Never done business with him but know of his work and it is top shelf. One of the best in that area if not the best. I think he's open from 10 to 6 or 8 to 6. Good luck he'll take good care of you , very good tech.

Thank you bd1 but I sent it to 8541 Electronics a few days ago. Waiting to hear from them as to what is wrong with it and what it will cost to fix.

i am trying to get a hold of wolfman electronics to make a purchase, am out in california, can anybody help me with a phone number ? or the truck stop name which his shop is near ? called information but they were no help. thanks again

To the guy wonting to know about wolfmans cb shop.After you go to him and he either doesnt fix it .Says its junk and trys selling you some thing new.take it up the road to exit 4 on 85 in sc and let rally sport fix it.And hes a hell of alot cheaper.I use to use wolfman and wont go back after rally fixed 2 radios that wolfman told me where junk.Also look him up under his name on facebook.
