| Aaron Tippin joins Cobra CB contest Aaron Tippin joins Cobra CB Contest Quote:
Aaron Tippin and Cobra Electronics recently announced the Cobra Electronics Coast to Coast contest, where they will team up to see how long it takes a CB message to make it across the nation.
Tippin recently talked and visited with hundreds of fellow truckers at the MATS show in Louisville, KY, where he helped announce the winner of Arrow's Back On The Road 2009 and played to the masses at Freedom Hall. After the show he created this concept of a contest designed to try to relive those great old memories when the CB was king. "We want to prove the old CB can still send a message just as fast as ever," says Tippin.
The contest will take place on April 17, at 7:30 p.m. CST, at the Kingston Springs, Tenn., Petro Stopping Center. Tippin will launch the contest by sending out a secret code over the CB in Kingston Springs. Tippin, Cobra Electronics, and other contest sponsors will then wait to see how long it takes the code to make it to the east and west coasts. The first drivers to bring the code to the Mebane, N.C. and Wheeler Ridge, Calif. Petros will receive prize packages including a Cobra Electronics CB radio and bluetooth wireless headset, as well as an Aaron Tippin gift back filled with his new CD, In Overdrive, t-shirts, ball caps, and concert backstage passes.
