Yep you'll never go wrong dealing with Al at Sparky's. Never dealt with copper but have heard lots of good about them also.

As has been said get a Cobra 29. Look on line at Sparky's CB Shack. He will set you up with a radio that will talk and last you years. Also order 18 feet of good coax, and a Wilson trucker 2000 antenna from him. If that USA truck even has any antennas on it they are junk and so is the factory coax.

I am radio dumb. I bought it in 02 peaked and tweaked and never installed.
If not I would like to sell. Thanks

And if I can talk, can you point me to info on all this stuff is on this radio. One question would be, can I turn down the power went other Jeeps are close so I do not fry the equipment?
That 48-T will be great for your jeep, and from what the receipt said it is ready to go for 11 meters. Just make SURE you run the 8 ga. wire from the + & - on the battery to the radio. Get top of the line coax, and for a jeep I would go to Rat Shack for 25 bucks and get a 102" steel whip with the barrel spring. They are practically indestructible. And as far as burning up someone else's radio, Won't happen not enough power.
If you do decide you want to sell it send me a PM.

Got this Galaxy 66 at Clays in '00 and has been trouble free. Had same Turner RK56 mic since '88, only changed cord.

All depends on what you want in a radio. Do you want TB,echo, ssb,am only, freq counter, etc..............
