| 2-way radio means send/receive - you should probably take your vehicle to a place that installs them. |

| Pretty much any CB radio is considered a 2 way radio.....on a party line. What can I tell you about that radio? Don't expect much....it's not very tunable....you won't get be heard far and you may not be able to hear far with it either. It's just an el cheapo radio that is good for about 2 miles with a good antenna, if that. But to hook it up should be nothing more than the positive wire, the negative and the coax. |

| freebird...its really quite simple a 2 way cb radio is a electronic device that enables people to talk to other people using airwaves from one radio to another one...primarly its used by truckers to find out what is waiting ahead of them...like a traffic accident or if the weigh scales r open...its also used to ask for directions to some place that a driver is unfamilar with its a source of communication for drivers to make the miles go by and just for them to talk to friends etc. If this is ur first time buying a cb radio...u will need to know how much u r willing to spend ? cause cb radios can be expensive...and what do u want the radio to do for u ? my best suggestion is go to a well established cb store (not radio shack)and ask questions and then determine how much u want to spend on ur radio..and what features u want on the radio...ie: do u want to be able to see it at nite...do u want to have an echo board installed on ur cb...many many questions to ask...ive been a cb operator for a good 14years now and i have one in my house on a very large antenna on the roof |

| turbo-t hate to burst ur bubble about cb radios...but its not a party line u obviously know nothing about cb radios and u know nothing of what u talk about... |

| I think he means "party line" as in more than two people can communicate on the same channel. |
| |||
| I think someone doesnt remember the days when "party line" referred to a telephone system where a number of homes were all on the same line. You could have 20 people all on the same call. These days a party line is a 900 # and costs you $5 a minute.
