more SWR questions

I had the SWR checked by a cb shop with an external SWR meter. I have two radios, a Cobra 29 LTD and a Uniden PC78 Elite. Why is it that when I talk on the 29 the antenna light does not come on, but it does on the Uniden?

I understand that the SWR meters are not as accurate as the shop meter. The Cobra shows a 1.2-1.5, whereas the Uniden shows a 3-4. Is this what is causing the ANT light? Just ignore it? I know the SWR is good( the Cobra is actually dead on with the shop meter).

Thanks,

Dave

If the Cobra match's the shops meter then you need to have the uniden recalibrated. There is a adjustment inside the radio for the SWR function.

Anybody know where the internal meter alignment is for the Uniden? Been looking for a schematic, but haven't found what I needed.
