R&r communications???

Hello all! I was curious if anybody had dealt with R&R COMMUNICATIONS in Wilmington, DE??? I'm looking to get a quality cb radio that can reach out and be heard CLEARLY. Any suggestions??? I already know I am going to go with the WILSON TRUCKER 5000 antenna. I already have an ASTATIC ROAD DEVIL mic. THANKS for any feedback!

ANY good CB radio should do what you want .... That said ....
If your looking for more power simply go get a linear....
This way if your radio fails and you need to send it back you can.

If you send a radio to the factory and if they follow FCC rules the radio will come back to you with all modifications REMOVED ....

Amps are cheap and are widely sold ...... let it do the walking .....

Just my 2 cents ...

He is on the black list on a few other CB radio forums and i have heard and seen (from pics posted on the net) that his work is less than professional. You would be better off finding soneone else.

I know folks won't agree with me, but I will make a somewhat bold statement. The BEST and most reliable CB radio is one that has NOT been tampered with by some out-back-of-the truck-stop shop! REALLY!
Contrary to what people tell you, your friends, buddies and CB shops themselves, CB radios do NOT need to be monkeyed with: they are working (unless there is a defect and there rarely is) FINE as IS! Think on it a minute. All those components the CB hack shops remove, if they are not useful, WHY are they installed to begin with? Simple. They perform some purpose according to FCC regulations, prevent interference, and keep adjacent channel "splatter" to a minimum. So why (and WHO) started this "factoid" that a new CB radio must be snipped and clipped, peaked and tuned in order to work properly?

.................................................. ..........................!!!!!!!!!! (Drum Roll)

THE CB SHOPS THEMSELVES!!!!!!!!!! WHY? TO GENERATE REVENUE FOR THEMSELVES OVER AND ABOVE THE SALE OF A RADIO!!!!! That's the ONLY reason, AND the culprits that convinced CBers/truckers their radios must be "peaked and tuned" in order to work right.

Do you "peak and tune" a new TV when you buy one for your house OR your truck???

Do you "peak and tune" a new stereo radio for your house or car?

Do you start turning pots when you buy a DVD/VCR player?

NO!

Think about it!!! It's all about moving money from your pocket to the "tech's" pocket! LOL! BTW, it's the very SAME modifications that cause problems AND complaints against various CB shops. The FACTORY does know what they are doing (most of the time)!

By God he is telling the truth on this one! 98% of the CB techs out their only want your money and care little for sound quality and performance.

I've said it over and over again on here. If the tech doesn't have a RF station monitor scope that usually cost more than most of them have ever seen and can show you a class 1 radio tech license run don't walk away from him. He is a butcher and not a tech. He read a book that is published all over the place so and so's tricks and tips to tune a CB radio and now he is a tech. If he can tell you what it is that he is cutting out or twisting on inside your radio again run away, more radios are destroyed by idiots that bye a 2.00 book and go to cliping and twisting then any thing else.
