The road devil is a decent mike for a stock radio. It will give you that good punch to get out that a stock radio just can't deliver. However it is worthless if you use it on a radio that already has a little power itself.

If you can wait a couple of days for a mic, there are great deals on the 636l to be had on ebay. I used to swear by the RK56, but I had bad luck with the cords and I like the shape of the Astatic better. It really comes down to personal preference, I just wanted to let you know they are way cheaper on ebay than in the truck stop.

who's the expert on radio brands? i need some info on texas ranger cb. i saw a few on ebay,but i wasn't sure which one was the best.
