W3RXO here. Just wanting to get to know some other trucking hams, and find out where you hang out on the bands?
Personally, I run APRS and D-Star in my truck, with an HF rig to boot. Rigs are an Icom IC 7000, with a Hi-Q 5/160 and an E-Factor dual band horizontal loop antenna, for HF/VHF/UHF-SSB work, an Icom ID 800H for D-Star and a Kenwood TM D700A for APRS.
Is there a particular frequency that trucking hams use, besides 146.520? My ham use has not been tied to my driving career, much, so I am not familiar with any "established" frequencies hams use in the big rig. I have been told some hang out on 14.305. If there is not a specific HF frequency, maybe we ought to establish one?
I know some of you guys are "Radio-Active", other than on 11 meters. Drop me a line at w3rxo (at) arrl (dot) net, or use the popular ham websites to get more contact information. Let's get more interest in our hobby, with those in our profession.
Ham operators, check in here.

Some of us hang out on 14.302.5 on 20Meters we usually start about 8 am central and with the band being what it is we usualy have some one on some where to relay for those of us that can't hear the rest and most of us run APRS as well.

also on APRS, usually 2m simplex, occasionally ISS or NO44 and on 223.5.
