Any around San Antonio.. On another note I read good things about Sharky's and Custom CB radio shops - but then everyone talks about techs ripping off people with the swing mod/etc and to run if a shop trys to sell u on it! Well both of these shops do just that?? I would love to have a radio tuned - if it truly makes it a better CB. As for the watts things I must say I would have to agree when clean solid watts over just power hungry crXXX..
I was/am looking at Custom CB radio unit.. A tuned Cobra 29 or a Connex with SSB options, or a Galaxy with blue lights.
note: I am a diesel head and drive a Dodge 2004 2500 Cummins 5.9L "mostly stock" truck. When I started reading about these CB tunes and peeks and the cost is only $50 - $100 more over a $150 - $200 radio I had to laugh at others saying it's $$$.. Just look at any noted mod on a diesel head truck and you are talking $1000 to $2000 for a single mod that may need 2 or 3 more parts!! Thats 2 or 3 more $500 or $1000 to get the first mod complete. So I welcome a CB setup costing a total of say $300 - $400 and lasting years on the road/use and 911 if needed.Last edited: Dec 3, 2011

I found a couple of CB shops that i actually have used and will use again any time i am in there area. Both have done work on my HAM radios and amps and have done excellent work. The first i don't know if it even has a name but its located in the T/A in Montgomery Al. EAxcellent Tech and he defenitly knows his stuff and will not make mods that are junk I bought a RC 2950 that some one had totally got out of whack and wouldn't even work on USB which is where i use it most of the time. He Aligned it and put every thing back to where it was supposed to be and got it working like it was supposed to and even turned the AM power back down to 10watts so it sounds like it was superposed to and turned the audio out put back down where it sounds like a real radio. The next one is 1 stop CB sales and service in Amarillo Tx. Ext 73 west bound bottom of the ramp on the right in the car lot there. Replaced the finals in my HF amp for a good price and did a wonderful job at a good price and made sure i was completely happy. These 2 i can vouch for to any one.
FIB Thanks this. -
