Re: CB Slang-How many

This is actually a great post for people like me and just starting out, can ya pin (sticky) this one for us please mods?

but can it please be kept "recent" so we're not looking stupid out there using the lingo from the 70's or 80's.

If you can do this it would be appreciated

Talking Re: CB Slang-How many

Apparently I missed these entries:

What is "in the Chair"?? Does this signify part of a group?

Bloomer Pudding--When Women wore Bloomers.
From under cheese--someone that hasn't showered or cleaned up since when only the person knows.
Toe jam (jelly)--descriptive enuf, yes?
Squat--was fun with this term a few years ago. One example: " My wife says you don't have Squat yet I know you gotta have it."
Cans of "Whoop *Ase"--as in "Don't make me open a can of Whoop Ase on you"! (spelling changed to protect the post)

Other fun favorites of a few years ago when chattering was fun unlike these days, yet there ARE STILL some folk that wanna have fun on the c.b.:
Flatbed load locks. These work well for Tankers.
Muffler bearings. Differing colors.
Jake brake shoes. Differing sizes.
Jake brake fluid. Now available in Synthetic.
Flasher fluid. C above.
Styrofoam Fuel containers. Made for very SHORT hauls.
Left Handed Automatic Revolvers. Usually sold at Flyin' J's and T. A.'s.

C. B.'s ARE TOOLS yet they can be used for fun as was the case in years past. Anymore they're mostly just an annoyance and when I drive I rarely have it on. Less stress is what I'm about considering Traffic, Cops, Coops, Traffic, Weather, Construction, Traffic and of course Truck Stops.

BEst if WELLness 2-u-n-urs-n ALL (ad)ventures!!

Re: CB Slang-How many

Heard in skip from the 70's:

10-4 there hand. Uncle Charlie has the front door, Silver Nickle has the back door, and I'm in the rocking chair.

We're all heading up to Dirty City with a load of sticks. We looked for you at Norma's. Silver Nickle had to stop and get some more road dope and take a 10-100.

We're going to go up the gap and across the West Virginia Washboard. I dread crossing that thing in this Teddy Rosevelt truck.

Mash it, we've got about a quarter change, you should catch us in a few minutes with that big truck of yours. 10-4.

Charlie's got a bird dog, so if it goes to barking I'll give you a hollar. If you ain't caught us before we get to the top, we're going to stop and get some of Silver Nickle's pocket rockets and have a party. Be sure and stop, you'll need some before tomorrow night. 10-4.

Yea, I've got to put off about 10 tomorrow, then I'm slamming the doors and heading to the barn. I guess I'll flip on the yard and head out to the Motor City with 8 to put off day after tomorrow, if Nickle's rockets hold out that is. 10-4.

This will be my third one this week, should have around 4400 miles and 23 stops from Sunday evening till Friday night.

Back her down to the double nickle, Charlie said his dog just went off. Yep, there's a full grown in the bushes taking pictures on our side. He'll be looking at you when you come by. 10-4.

That big radio of yours sounds good. How's this radio sound? I just hooked up a 2 tube Elkin. Uncle Charlie and Silver Nickle are barefoot, that's why you can't hear them. 10-4.

All clear after that bear. Put the pedal to the medal. We got to go see that good looking beaver up at the plaza that Charlie is sweeet on. 10-4.

Watch out for that bed bug hauler, he's going slow in the show off lane. 10-4.

You heard about that Big R driver that locked the keys in his truck at the pickle park? He had to break a window to get out, 10-4.

Is that you with that good buddy light in the windshield? 10-4. Mash your motor. Charlie's throwing flame, says he's in a hurry to see that beaver he's sweet on...........
