Not trying to get into a pissing contest, just trying to make a point. My daily driver Connex 43/400 will completely destroy that 95T
in the "My Daddy can whip your Daddy" contest so please lets not . . . .
You should have read my post a little more,i said NO DX conditions! Hell talking from TX to NV is nothing when the skip is in. I have sit in down town Denver CO and talked to the boys back home in NC on a 40 watt Connex 4800 DXL but eve that is nothing. Try making the trip from NC to Southern CA ( on AM ) using a Tram D-201 that only does 12 watts and talking to that same guy for 20 minutes. Make a 2600 mile trip using a 12 watt radio or try talking over 7000 miles on 20 watts then you will impress me.100 miles aint no step for a stepping 43/400,bet on that.
(Confirmed skip on 19 from west Texas to the top and bottom of the left Coast, loud and clear in Reno Nv from my driveway in West Texas)
40+ mile radiuos 24/7 Loud and proud,Not to shabby for a mud duck stand alone Connex
You aint going to make that trip on a swinging cb radio anything, you can bet on that as well!
So your saying that that $250 radio "destroys" that $500 Connex? The Stealth Cobra is a low-buck (to me)"SLAMMER" that destroys anything in/on the market sold new for $250.
I would love to run this RFX up on the short channels,Im very confident it would shine like a dime in a goats butt.

I'll play this my RF is bigger than your RF game. My big 4 250B tubed Zodiac loves Sweet 16's for dinner.........

......Or maybe the Henry 2K (2000k+) would be better, how about the 10 tube Golden Falcon (1400k+) for that nostalgic flare maybe even one of my 2,4,6,8,or 12 tube Elkins that will do from 300 to 1200 watts. Not alot of power from these Elkins mind you but the massive amounts of audio which is what the amps are known for will give you one hell of a headache. Or i can warm up the refrigerator sized amp with 2 BIG steel tubes in it,just dont stand to close to it or you wont need head lights to drive at night!
....every seen HUGE coax melt under the load of 2 big steel tubes
Oh yes,it can be done with really HIGH POWER
nah,i will be easy on you. I'll just use the big black Dave Made (the real deal Dave Made, not a cheap copy Joe built DM ) at 22 volts (2500K+) i run in my ole work truck that way we can go mobile to mobile.
.......and this is not even counting what is setting on my shelves!
In time grasshopper you will be able to take the pebble from my hand, then you will understand what "high power" really is.
.......It's all in good fun!

That is an add-on amp. Safe from the standpoint of? - just make sure you use proper wire sizes, run + and - to the battery (not the shortcut of running - to the frame). safe if you don't get caught with it. It's made to fit certain models, so check that or you might have an ugly job.
Now about this amp-picture-braggin'.. I love the 4CX250B, a fine tube and cheap for the power. But don't start nuthin' unless you got sumpin'.
Not that the 3CX3000 will ever see CB use, I don't like trouble! Sure there are some larger ones out there like 4CX5000's and 4CX10,000's but I don't need more just saying someone always has more, let's see 'em!
What do they say on the CB, "Don't worry about it!" (with echo)
Don't Don't Don't Don't
Worry Worry Worry Worry
About bout bout bout
It! It! It! It!
BEEP!

Come on...stop kidding yourself! I have a Cobra with the RFX75 mod and, just like the rest of my Cobra radio's, it's sitting on the self collecting dust! They call it "75" for a reason...and I'd be willing to bet my last dollar that it's NOT because of 100+ watt capabilities!
Any claim above 75 watts on the RFX75 is simply a poorly researched/uneducated claim. The radio's that I run most often are my Connex 3300HP and Connex 4600Turbo. Why? Because that crappy RFX75 mod will not come close to either of them! If it did, or if it could, I'd run it! But the simple fact of the matter is it can't. Period! As for your Stealth "walking" a Connex (3300 or any other Connex) and making them "look like toys", I call complete, absolute, outright BS! There is NO WAY! Thinking about your little Cobra with the RFX "walking the dog" on a HP Connex is actually quit comical
Thanks for the laugh...I was having a bad day and really need that!

The connexs are fine radios, the 3300 is no competition to an rfx cobra unless it has been pushed way beyond its limits.
MY old 4300HP could do better then an RFX cobra but it was being pushed way to hard and kept blowing caps etc inside until it just finally died. I am now running a 4600 turbo and it is better then the 4300 that was being pushed hard. It is not doing much more peak watts then a RFX cobra 29. The only thing my connex 4600 turbo has over the rfx cobra is a higher deadkey.
I have gone between both my non RFX stealth model cobra 29 and my 4600 turbo and reports come back that they both sound real nice, with loud crisp sound. Most can't tell the difference between the two.

That hole in your neck is leaking "A G A I N " !
Connex 33HP(Gen Lee) 7/52-55 watts/pep
verses Cobra/Galaxy chassis RFX75-22/100-110 watts/pep(when installed/tuned "correctly")
We'll leave price per net pep watt out of it,your plate is already full.

The severity of the beatdown would be dependant on the type of
antenna used.
