I have talked to people in texas, Florida and countless other areas of the south on ssb from the Massachusetts, NH area on my Galaxy 959 (which I am told is not that great of a ssb radio). That's was running my wilson 2000 with rg8x coax. It can be pretty fun talking to people so far away. SSB seams to be a little more professional than the am cb bands. I don't usually hear annoying people playing music, constantly yelling "audio" "audio" over and over again or saying "shut up stupid"

Oh there out there even on SSB...Get on 38LSB on a Friday night, and they tend to come out of the wood-work...Not sure why, but seems like most of them are located in Cali...I'm sure there's some coming out of Jersey too, but I don't usually get conditions out of the NE corner after dark.

Didn't say anything was wrong with Jersey...Course if a massive tidal wave wipes it off the face of the Earth, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it... :tongue3:
