Well that is your experience with Celadon. I have been here 2 years. I am on Canadain Regional. I spend every other night at home, hometime every other weekend and one week vacation every 3 months. They treat me good. My dm know me by my name not a trk number. As far as your problem about not getting a paycheck get out of the terminal, drive your trk and don't get advances then maybe you will have a paycheck. Like i said I have been with Celadon 2 years never got 1 advance and always got a paycheck every week.
i like it at celadon

There are always 2 sides to every story
Celadon puts a roof over my head food on my table pays the bills and good insuranceFlex, prostar and Southpaw7391 Thank this. -
are they still paying the $1000 referral bonus there lil may? the one where they pay $275 up front to the driver and the rest after 90 days on the person they get hired? so it would be easy for some one to sit on the Internet and talk up a company. a lot of incentive there. and seeing how there is millions of people on the internet.
The truth about celadon. finding a driver that's not pi**ed off at celadon. is like finding an honest politician. you walk into any of the terminals at celadon. about all you will find is angry celadon drivers. it's extremely rare to find a celadon driver on the road. That likes celadon. or has anything good to say about them.
That being said!
If you want to work for a company. that will take a big healthy steaming crap on your life. And then wipe there ##s with your career. and flush it down the toilet. then celadon is for you. that is honestly how much celadon cares about there drivers. They don't show it at first. but the longer you stay the more celadon shows it.
what's celadons tag line for the ads. stability in pay. more like stability in poverty.
if you do go to work for celadon. Be sure to bring your own jar of vaseline. They won't supply it when there screwing you.Last edited: Aug 6, 2011

Well I am NOT getting paid to talk about Celadon
My husband has brand new truck and they take very good care of him and I have talked to other drivers on a regular bases and they are getting good miles and new trucks tooprostar and digger_423 Thank this. -
Woo! 2995 miles last week.
My jar of vaseline is still unopened. -
I'm having trouble staying on-line, so I'll keep tabs as best I can. It sounds like the other driver is one of the drivers who is always sitting in the terminal and not driving, which is what pays you money. Otherwise he wouldn;t know what the drivers sitting in the terminal are saying. And the remedy for him is simple. Leave the company and go elsewhere. But he doesn't do it. Wonder why. Anyhow, taking a well deserved 34 hour restart here in Greensboro, NC. Woke up this morning with only 2 hr 56 min left on my 70, so talkaed to weekend dispatch (YES, I actually talk to ops!) and they agreed with me that it'd be better to restart and have a fresh 70 come tomorrow monring. So, I have a question. If I'm running short on hours in 8 days and needing a restart, what's going on with these other drivers that are saying they sit all the time and only make $400 a week? I won't call them slackers or whiners just yet, because their individual situations are just that, individual and unique to them. But they do certainly sound like they're unhappy about something.
Flex Thanks this. -
I dunno about you, but I practically have to pull teeth to get a 34. Seems like if I pick up hours after midnight, by golly they want me to run them! On the other hand, without a full 24hrs off in over 2 weeks, they can't send me to Canada because I'd be in violation of Canadian HoS.
I guess I'll get my 34 when I'm on home time.
Oh and you'll hear plenty of drivers griping about anything and everything if your truck is ever in the shop and you have nothing else to do but sit in the lounge and wait. -
well it sounds like steve took back over. and got the company back in order. I know the company truck they had me in broke down and was in the shop every week. I have 8 months of log books to prove it. and when i was out of the shop. i got nickel and dime loads and by the time they decided to give me actual miles again. the truck broke down and had to go back in the shop. a person can only take so much of it. and to hear the ops manager say: I'm not very good at getting my drivers better trucks. and a dm that said this: I don't review the messages over the weekend that my drivers send in. basically saying: i don't help my drivers when they are having problems. meaning: I don't care! I'm only here for a check! after that I gave up hope of things ever getting better for me there. and it must be a nice to have a dm and an ops manager that knows how to help. more importantly they cared about you to help. I never had such a luxury. I was completely on my own with my problems i was having with celadon's truck and staff! I had literally no one i could go to there for help. all i got was not our problem,or call your dm/opm. or there's 5 infront of you waiting for a truck. I personally found celadon a very cold and unfriendly place to work.
