Are you sure about this? Canadian Regional, for instance, has its own planning division, which would take precedence over any cpm calculation in the optimizer - assuming cpm is taken into account to begin with.

Yes if you have a legal passport or can go to canada you will have to go. Company drivers are forced dispatch
-
how many miles do teams run and do they have to split miles?
-
Celadon isn't a bad company once you finally get your truck and start rolling. The school is a mess and you'll be away from home a long time. The bad part about the school is once you get out you are required to run as a team for a set amount of miles at .18 cents a mile... Not sure about the mileage requirements. Best option would to get into the lease program as soon as you can. It negates the obligation to drive teams at .18 cpm. The lease program isn't too bad. You'll get good miles, good pay, and no forced dispatch. I'd be happy to talk with anyone that's serious about coming to celadon. My email is gitaslife@gmail.com

As far as the border crossings go. All southbound crossings are done by celadons Jaguar division. South bound freight is brought and dropped at the Laredo yard or sometimes taken to other southbound freight haulers near by the laredo yard. North bound to canada. I have no clue, but I can find out if your truly interested. I try to stay below I40 unless it's going north up I35 to Kansas or Missouri. As a lease op I also don't usually take any loads over 35k pounds and I still run 2500/3000 miles a week

An old question but wife and I usually run 6000+ a week.. it is really about the DM you get.. typically trips are east coast to west coast (California or Washington) average trip about 2800 paid miles

And yes teams do split

I realize this is an old question. But I think a lot of the Canadian freight is brought up by Canadian drivers. I've never seen an american truck in any of our yards and I know some drivers that only do relay loads between Indy and Ontario.
