PLEASE stop taking all of the seals out of the gladhands in Lot4 of Laredo! Please??? Just go to the trailer inspection and ask for a few brand new ones. They will give them to you. Quit being lazy and stop screwing the other drivers over.

More than likely it's the drivers from Mexico that's doing it...they have been for years.

I agree with drvrtech. When I was with Lessors we used to pull trailers down to Laredo to go into Mexico. If all you're missing is glad hand seals be happy. A lot of trailers have missing lights, mudflaps, different mismatched tires, hell some trailers don't even come back at all.

Laredo dispatch *used to* give you 2 seals along with your paperwork. Some times you get lucky and the trailer has them both, other times you have to put the ones they give you in. You know it's super easy to do with a flat head screw driver...

the theft of parts at celadon are extremely low. they have a program in place to keep the equipment from being stolen. the mexican drivers are souly responible for the trailer when it leaves the yard. if it comes back and appears to have been striped celadon charges back the mexican driver for all the parts stolen. so the glad hand rubbers are nothing to replace. and it's probably a mix of american, mexican and canadian drivers stealing them.

This makes more sense. These trailers are already on the yard full of freight ready to go north. They have to come through the Lot4 trailer inspection before being parked over there. Either way, it's quite annoying. Almost as annoying as us Freight Systems drivers not being allowed to wash the truck unless we go to The Borg (Indy). I've been to Indy one time since you guys took over in April and have zero desire to go there ever again. Guess we'll just be driving filthy trucks.

This is how the Mexicans get paid. They use them as proof that they dropped, or so I'm told by an old hand in the company.

Is Celadon a good company to drive for?
