I was wondering what you all have been getting on average for miles a week and whats your average length of haul is also . Have you been profitable & I know i shouldnt ask this because it opens it up to a moan and grown ##### fest do you guys thinks the lease can work and what do you do to make it work. I would really make this thread informative instead of neg. thanks drivers be safe ...

.94 + .24 fuel surcharge doesn't leave much room to be profitable
http://www.driveceladon.com/leasepurchase/
Say you do 2500 miles x $1.18 = $2950
$2950 - $1040 for fuel (7.2 X $3) = $1910
$1910 - say even just $1000 for all fixed costs including that new truck lease payment and you're at $910 OR you're basically driving for .36 CPM the average pay for a company OTR driver.
Have a breakdown or take time off.. good luck climbing out of that hole when you're driving for $1.18
I'm not moaning and growning.. just stating the facts here. In fact I lease a truck myself and am with a mega carrier but not for no $1.18, that's highway robbery.eagles5roxwife, blairandgretchen and roadhammer123 Thank this. -

I'm with Schneider, paid on % and pick loads off their load board. Ask anybody and I'm sure they'll tell you $1.18 is terrible -
excludes fuel
all deductions plus tractor payment is around $900 for the lone star little less for prostar 2013 14 $ 790 to 875
I want to be clear that i dont drive for them yet i am going this Monday -
Please share WHY you would want to lease with them?
Do you understand they pay at near the lowest if the lowest rates out there?
I'm not bashing I just don't understand why someone would want to lease and drive for $1.18 and still have a dispatcher.
Compare the rates out there and you'll see $1.18 is the lowest out there. Maybe Transam pays about the same but that's about it.
Just to give you am example.. this weekend I'm doing $1.60 all miles on all drop and hook freight 1120 miles from East Ohio ending in Wisconsin. There's a load I can pick up going to PA paying $2.10 to the truck on Monday if I wanna do it. That's at 65% and me picking my own freight. Never have I even left the Northeast for less than $1.43 all miles
Sooo yeah $1.18 is really really terrible fyi. -
