    Thanks for this post...

So, when do you start getting paid? You said there's no "paid training" .

Yeah you get paid after you get your cdl and go on the road with a trainer. If you come in experienced it could be 3 to 5 weeks. if no experience look at being here 7 to 12 weeks before getting payed.

    Reason?

Waiting a possible three months to get paid and OTR? Wow,they're on my list.. I'm also considering Knight.

Hope this works well for you this time...sincerely.

If you need more shopping options you can catch the bus that goes down Post Rd in front of the school. It will take you to a mall and a bunch of shopping centers. There is also a Walmart about a quarter mile from Greenfield easy walking distance.

I was originally in Greenfield when I got there but got tired of all the pushing and shoving trying to get on the shuttle every morning. The dorm was better with the exception of the filtered Internet. At least you get a room to yourself.

It took me 8 weeks to get my CDL and another month to get a trainer. The delay on the trainer was partly due to my insistence on a non-smoker and that my trainer advocate went on vacation and no one bothered to check her list.

Yeah I have thought about trying to get a dorm room, because of the shuttle ride to and from school is a real pain, especially Monday through Wednesday win its packed with new students, and you end up having to catch the third bus. One day I didnt make it back to my room till 7.30. But at the hotel coffee is free and thats my mane vice, and i dont want to pay 1.50 like 6 times a day lol.
Well Its sat day night. My room mate got on the greyhound last night. They sent him home because he could not pass his general knowledge test friday. So i assume i will have a new room mate tomorrow. If the new room mate is non compatible with me then I will request a dorm, and drink less coffee :( I'm hoping for a good room mate. In a perfect world my new room mate will be a cute girl lol.
Tip for all coming to this school. Study for your cdl permit before you come, because they test you on Wednesday your first week, that is unless your like the majority of the people that come here to just stay drunk in a free room for 2 weeks before being sent home like my room mate.

Moved in to the dorm today. Asked to be moved in yesterday, because I was tired of the shutle ride, and just so happened when i get back to the hotel last night I discover that my new room mate is a total wack job. Wow I guess a higher power was telling me to move to the dorm all day yesterday.

If you are in a Dorm U will be solo but the hotel thats in Greenfield, IN you will have a roommate. They do feed you 3 squares a Day and give u a place to sleep at. I would consider another School Simple enough you will sit around most days doing nothing at all you will be lucky to get a half a day on the range and a half a day on the road in a week it will not be 3 weeks and you test it will be 5-12 weeks and u test if your lucky. Good Luck and God Speed

yeah today is the start of my 4th week, and I got my second drive today. Now since lunch I'm just hangin out in my room the rest of the day. Yeah you basically get either one drive of about 45 minutes , or one time backing that includes str8,offset,and parallel park per day. some days people don't even get on the schedule to do either.
Lucky for me I have had past experience, so I'm just making sure i have the 4 point, pree trip, and in cab studied up on, but I cant see how anyone that is brand new to trucking can learn enough before testing here, with the little they let you do on a daily basis.

    So hows it going?

I applied to these guys, but no response yet....

Maybe it's for the best. Celadon just seems way overcrowded. Several weeks and only got two drive time opportunities... Wow

Hey Thanks for the reply,I forgot I made this thread. I am at the school, but I leave soon to go down the street to start my orientation at the Celadon terminal. I past my 90 back test, and Celadon test drive,so i should be out with a trainer maybe by the end of next week
Since my time here,I have seen quite a few drop out because the school is slow, and they have bills to pay.Lucky for me I have family helping me out,and my only bill is my phone. I have learned a lot here, and am a much better driver now,and the school staff here are cool,so it's worth coming here, but just keep in mind that if you have no experience you will probley be here a while.
