Celadon comments on jury decision in Texas

Celadon Trucking Services Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Celadon Group Inc., announced Thursday, Oct. 2, that a judgment of $1.5 million was rendered on Sept. 30 in a jury trial in Ellis County, Texas. The award related to a lane change accident that occurred in July 2006.

"Although the injuries to plaintiffs, Mr. Ronny Martinez and Mr. Kenneth O'Neal, are regrettable, the jury found that Mr. Martinez, who was driving the car, was partly responsible for causing the accident," said Steve Russell, chairman and chief executive officer of Indianapolis-based Celadon.
