I go to canada a LOT and it bugs me that i cant use my cell phone or aircard there. Aircard doesnt allow me to roam at all, and i have a nationwide cell phne plan but they want 50 cents a minute to use it in canada. Come on.

I have had a few drivers tell me their cell phone company doesnt do this. However i think theyre either BSing me or didnt go far enough into canada to lose an american signal. I can be within a couple miles of the border and get on an american signal.

Any suggestions? I need unlimited service. Even in canada. Internet on my laptop would be nice too.

When with a former company, I was in at least Ontario, everyday.
I've Verizon service for my cell, as well as aircard. Since I still spend a fair amount of time there, I've maintained that service.
They have a pllan called "North America with Canada" It costs a whopping $3 more per month to be covered anywhere in Ca. It works just the same as any other plan regarding your minute usage. The only time I've had a problem is when I'm in the far north, there just isn't coverage there at all.
Now, I don't use my aircard when there, but if I remember correctly, it's covered under the same plan as my regular service.:biggrin_25525:

Give Verizon a call, they can explain it to ya.

Thanks, I called them today and got switched over to the canada plan, didn't even cost anymore than the one I had. They also backdated it for a week to cover my calls. Thanks again

I also use Verizon for my phone calls on the Canada plan. I have a Verizon air card but it is EXPENSIVE to use in Canada. I used to use Flying J's service when I was close to one for $4.99/day but they have increased the price to $8.00/day.
