Blue Parrott seems like the way to go. Does anyone have any experience with the Cobra noise-cancelling headsets?
droo Thanks this. -
I've never used a blue parrot, and honestly can't see myself using one. To bulky and large for my taste. I use a blue ant q2 myself, I can hear just fine, and there is little to no back ground noise on the other end from it. Streams my audio perfectly also.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 4 BetaBadmon and daddyhusky Thank this. -
I used plantronic voyager,is goes around your ear,the noise cancellation is same like blue parrot but it won't mess up your hair,my friend say is quiet no background noise.you can speak about 5 1/2 hours straight.

I like the Plantronics Voyager Pro. If it has noise cancellation as good as Blue Parrot I would much rather wear that. I had an old Plantronics bluetooth that was terrible in my Freightliner, and better in the Volvo, but still tough to hear. I'm sure technology has improved, and I'm going to spend more than $30 this time.

Blue Parrot BT250 Plus here. Only complaint is if I get out of the truck and lose the connection, sometimes requiring a restart of both the bluetooth and the Android phone.

Here is a great review with actual audio/ video: http://www.inovotech.net/2012/05/best-in-noise-limiting-bluetooth.html

Plantronics has a new bluetooth, Voyager Legend (newer than Voyager Pro HD). It is also $10 more than the Pro. Does anyone have any experience with it yet? It is supposed to have good noise suppression. I doubt it can beat the Blue Parrott, but I just don't want to wear headgear.

I pull a 45' stainless tank and can walk and talk all the way around the truck/trailer, with the phone in the cup holder in the cab. But if battery is low it gets kinda static-y at the very back but haven't dropped a call yet.

I have the Blue Parrott B250-XT and i've had it for about 1.5 years now and it still works perfect. Before that i tried Jawbone, Plantronics and none of them could even compare to Blue Parrott. I found out just because they actually say on the box that they have noise canceling features doesn't actually mean it's true, which was the case with the Plantronic Voyager i had and the Jawbone. The only thing i can say is you have to hear the difference or you will never know. If all you know is plantronics or jawbone and have never tried a blue parrott then you'll probably never really know the extreme difference. At the time my Blue Parrott was about the same price as the Jawbone and Plantronic bluetooth. The talk time is a ton better as well. I remember after having my plantronics voyager go dead about halfway through my day many times. While i have NEVER had the Blue Parrott go dead on me yet. As long as you charge it everyday it will work all day. Also, even when i have my windown down while driving my wife says she can hear me fine. One time i had my window down and my jake brake on going down hill and asked her could she hear the jake brake and she said no. Another point i'd like to make is that the new Blue Parrott XPressway II is a convertible type of bluetooth with 3 available options to choose from as far as fitting goes. The 3 options are over the head, over the ear and behind the neck. I like the over the ear headsets mainly because my days using the plantronics voyager, which is an over the ear bluetooth, it always seem to slip around my ear and not stay fully in place when i started sweating from unloading my freight. I could simply take it off until i was done working but i could also miss a call if i did. Here's a video link i found on youtube for the Blue Parrott XPressway II. I'm thinking about upgrading my B250-XT to this one and giving my old one to my son.
