    Cell Phones Prepay advice

We've been out of the States for quite a few years and coming back for a visit and I was wondering what might be the best pre-pay deal out there ?

If you are staying local it will depend on the area, if traveling over the road my first hand experience is to stay away from any of them.

If you don't want or need much data, I highly recommend Page Plus. They use the Verizon Prepaid network (slightly less coverage than the Verizon postpaid coverage). Prices range from $12/month for 250 up to $55/month for unlimited talk and text and 2GB of data. For the most part, you can Bring Your On Device (BYOD) (currently no 4G phones, iPhones, GSM, or Verizon Prepaid phones allowed...other than that, it's pretty much whatever you want).

In a nutshell, if you are just coming to visit some friends for a month and they have an old Verizon phone laying around, you could get that phone activated and have unlimited talk and text w/100 mb data for $39.95. Once you leave, give it back to your friend and will have spent less than $50 for the plan and activation.

    Hope this helps.
