Pretty much the smaller carriers are more likely running off the 3g towers that the biggies used to run so the coverage shoulds be fine. Any experience with metro good or bad? Known dead zones?

I don't use MetroPCS, but I think they use T-Mobile towers. Saw that on one of their billboards. I know T-Mobile sucks unless you are in a major city.

I dont know how they are today. I tried them about 10 yrs ago because I thought the 1 price for everything was a good deal. But their signal and service sucked balls. I only had a signal while in metro areas. Like traveling from Tampa to Orlando on i4.. about 10 mi east of i75 the signal was lost and did not recover till I was almost in Orlando. Any kind of rural area forget it.

I would like to think they are better today. But I think you would be better off with Verizon, Att or Sprint.

    Macho, great signature!

Locally in south Florida I have not had a problem with a drop since the ol Nextel days. It is no secret that the bigs are selling their old tech to others in order to cover the cost of advancing. Funny thing is what makes a better connection?

My cynical assumption is that the better we can slam your data, the better it is for us. --- anologous to yesteryears going over your minutes penalty. So, with Sprint 60 dollar unlimited, wth would leave a provider like ATT overage capability.. I mean, you do want to watch the whole movie, right?

For me signal ranks number 1. Data 2. WiFi 3. Apps 4.

I want to also know how one justifies paying double? I called about joining AT&T circle jerk plan with my family and it was gonna be 60$. Staying with Sprint for two years gets me a new iPhone 5 if I contract for two or no contract for 49$. Other phones are free up to 200$.

Have you left Sprint after going OTR and why???

    Yes

Because their signal coverage area didnt suit my needs. I got more signal in more areas with much better data speeds through Verizon. I had both phone services for the better par of 6 months as my Sprint contract wasnt up yet. So figured if I had to pay for it anyway,.. might as well compare the 2 services side by side.

Yes I pay more with Verizon. I didnt leave Sprint because I was paying too much. I left because I found a better service provider which to me is an invaluable asset as a trucker.

yep, i left sprint when i first came back out, after 15 years. just recently signed back up. so i have both services for the time being. but sprint is my main internet machine now. they have greatly improved with the new ownership and ceo. service is now where it once wasn't.

today i was driving north from stockton to sacramento, and i notice my v phone was 3g the whole time, while my sprint was 4g. same model phone with both carriers. v seems to be really lacking lately, for what ever reason. and it was just recently, that they announced they will continue their pledge of their pledge of continuing to throw money around to remain KING OF THE NETWORK HILL.
