I'm just bumping this up hoping to catch some folks home today.

Right now, I'm wishing my buddy had it. There are icy road conditions in and around TO (Toronto) this morning. I sent out a text, "are you okay" kinda message, but didn't get a response. So now I worry a bit -- did he run into trouble or is he simply further north than I think and out of range... <sigh>

Personally, I think you guys should all have one of these. Sometimes the cell alone just doesn't cut it. So sign up, will ya'... if only to keep us folk on the homefront from worrying!

I had a turbo blow right out side of Moab Utah, past the hole in the wall, or whatever it's called..... I had no signal whatsoever. I couldn't call dispatch, I couldn't call 911, I couldn't call anybody. However, I was very lucky that day, because the guy behind me on the road was a Forrest Ranger. He got the state police there pretty quickly.
But I was stuck in Moab for a week. Not a bad little town, though it's dead in the winter. I just wish I could have called dispatch faster, so someone could have t-called my load of yogart faster.
I spent several hours after being able to contact my terminal..... waiting for the t-call.
I truly think, if I could have gotten a signal, life would have still sucked, but not so much that day.

What blew out, prisonerofthehwy? Turbo ? Sorry don't know the lingo. Is this a tire or some booster for your engine? You would have laughed if I would have kept my typo- well maybe - I typed turdo - and didn't need an explanation of this kind of blowout!!

So do you remember if you picked up your load yet or not? Sorry, I had to say something like that. I am much younger and my memory isn't that great sometimes either. So don't feel to bad. My exwife used to send me to the store for something, and then she'd send me back, because I forgot what I came for.
