Any Blackberry you should be able to do that with, or a Blackjack. Who's your service provider? It depends on your service provider which phone is compataible with your sim. If you have analog, you're going to be forced to switch over to a Sim card.
T-mobile makes some PDA phones similiar to those, I am not sure about the other companies, and not trying to endorse them or anything, just throwing out what little bit of knowledge I know about that type of phone.
I hope I can get rid of that 7290 now that I no longer need it.......

If the 7290 uses a sim card you can have someone unlock it to work on T-mobile

It is unlocked, but I think it's not working because it's not my five compatiable, I think.
