We had homing pigeon's for a while when I was a kid...

However, looking back now I have to laugh........

My dad used to send us out to "catch" the birds that were still out at dusk so we could put them in their cages for the night where they would be safe.........

Okay....... now........ think about this one a little more...... hey kids, go out and catch the animal and put it in it's cage...... kinda normal farm thing to do....... kinda....... but these were BIRDS for heavens sake!

Now, I want to know why.... and more importantly...... how...... were we able to catch BIRDS that did not want to go nighty night?

What is wrong with this picture?

Ohhhh.... and I vote for ATT with plenty of minutes, unlimited texting and internet..... and a text phone with a full keyboard of course.... you boys don't think I sit at home at my computer all day do you?? LOL

Thats cute! I am wondering if it is because when they perch, and finally do go to bed, they are easy prey, my brother in law had a lot of trouble with an owl for a while! I have small chickens bantis that I have to put in a cage at night, due to rats!! I lost several runner ducks to those son of a guns a couple of years ago, I guess once they get a taste of blood it is all over with. I also lost a chicken to a weasel, birds have so many predators, its terrible!!! I have found it hard to keep them safe! Besides, I bet it kept you guys occupied for guite a while, and out of dads hair!! LOL I was gonna say, maybee I can get some and have my kids do that, but then again, they are teenagers, when they are around its hard enough to get them to clean there rooms let alone any thing else LOL . nice to hear from you storyteller!!

I have Verizon, and when I drove across the country, the only place I lost service was is a little bit of New Mexico. We pay for 400 minutes a month which is more than adequate for us (we pretty much use it for emergencies, etc). I have a daughter in Vegas, and I can call her when I want. Verizon to Verizon is free.
