Hello jrmisfit
I have been kinda slow on getting back but have been busy. Hope that you had a nice Christmas. But to answer your reply. Maby if you can make enough money in two weeks it might work for you if you want to make little money and yes the most that you should stay out is four weeks but no more then 6 wks. And for your information I am not a recruiter but just happy with this Company comaired to other Companys. I have no reason to lie, you say that you were with them for only 4 weeks that is not long enough to get to know a Company, if after a year then go to another co. Central has regional also 11 western and dedicated and other runs. And as I said don't lease for a year or until you are sure that you want to stay with the Co. and yes it is better to go to a dealer to get your truck, but if you have no or bad credit or no money for a down payment then leaseing a truck the way we did is ok, we waited 3 years befor we leased our truck and now it is ours, Central also has where you can do a 6 months lease to see if that is what you want to do or a year lease there is a lot that you don't know about Central that you should stop telling people because there have been a lot of changes to this Co. You can also get a tax write off with central also. When my husband is solo he makes at least anywhere from 700.00 to 1,000.00 take home per week after all has been taken out for fuel and all the other stuff also with central you never pay over 1.20 per mile for fuel for lease owner operaters We have never been upset with our selfs if you are then you didn't look into it very good. We stay out for 4 weeks and then come home for 4 days by choice and we get home when we want to it depends on your fleet manager and for every day that you are not home they pay you 40.00 per day that you are not home and that goes for co. drivers also. If lease drivers are wanna bes then thats funny because we now own our own truck. So I take it by the way that you talk about drivers that lease there trucks that you own your truck out right. Have a good one, Lonesome Dove

I'm going to this trucking school and I have done my research and seen several differing reports. One or two said they were horrible, some said they were ok, some said they were great. Well, we'll just have to see. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work and I'll just come home, lick my wounds and see about another company.

You lose a day off for every week over 4 weeks. They won't allow you to take five days off if they keep you out for five weeks, makes it worthless to stay out longer.

It all depends on who your fleet manager is on how messed up they can make your home time, not every manager is like that, and don't blame it on the co. them selfs if you were not happy all you have to do is talk to carl D who is head of all dispatch and you could get a new fleet manager
Hope you had a merry Christmas . Lonesome Dove

They screwed up our home time (co-driver and I) and so our dispatcher said we could take a few extradays off. The end result was we were under load on Xmas, but were able to be home, and we don't have to go back til the 2nd of January. Our dispatcher offered it to us, which was nice. They tend to really screw up our home time, so I was ready to take it.

Carl is Cole's boss. Generally, you get told to talk to Cole, and if he hems and haws too much, you go to Carl.
