This is for Dannyboi you have only been a trucker for 2 years, you got a lot to learn. For one i don't know why you leased a truck befor you found out weather you wanted to stay with the Co. and you don't deck out your truck untill that truck is yours. WE have had ours paid off now for a while and ours is still just a plain jane we have a t-2000, and the driver rate per day is not 15 or more. when you are in orentation if you lied about your record and central will let you go, it you can't pass your drug test they let you go, if you can't pass the phy part dureing orentation then they let you go, and if you have been with them for a while and you have two many acc. you are gone, there is a lot of reasons why the drivers leave you will have this with a lot of Co. you go with, unless it is a Co that just don't care what you do. Sorry you had such a hard time with them, its funny there are a lot of people that know my name at central and call me by my name but you have to have a good attude, you give respect then you get respect. hope you find a good co to work for but wait on leaseing a truck until you are sure you are going to stay.

Hey peacherman, I am sorry that I won't be able to talk to you or welcome you to Central but stay in touch, on the fourm and maby one day we will meet. Keep your chin up and the rubber side down have a little fun and always be safe, and when you go out with your trainer and you don't like him or her and you don't think that they are being safe or teaching you what you need to know don't be afraid to call safty or Ron in class , the tall guy with the short spikey hair and when you see him tell him that jaime and jason say hi. keep in touch. Have a good one, lonesomedove.

Preacherman you are a student and apparently have no idea that you are unaware of the drivers that quit because you only see a small part at what goes on with that company at that terminal. Believe me i was in your shoes at one point too, so don't say bull just yet drivers don't always quit at salt lake. The school doesn't teach you how to drive, just how to get a license as with most company schools and i wish you luck, anyway you will see and talk to more people and realize there is more to central than the little bit you see at the salt lake terminal soon as you get out on the road by yourself, remember there are more terminals and everyone of them is different.

Believe me lonesomedove i was in it for the long run, the bull!##$ lies and answerless questions was to much for me so i gave them my truck. Your t2000 is not paid off yet unless you bought it and brought it to central and a t2k is plain cus you cant do anything to it and i gave alot of respect to central and spoke good about them until i quit. I pimped out my truck because just like everything else i own its not stock so don't go judging a book by its cover. I didn't intend on feedback from drivers that work here just giving my experience to people who want to know.

Hey Danyboi

Yes our Truck is paid off we made double payments on our truck and we have had it for going on 4yrs. have been with Cental for 6yrs now and we have been doing fine with them yes I will admit that there is a lot that goes on but not all is Central. Like I said you have only been driveing for 2 yrs. You have a lot to learn, and if you don't want feed back from people that work for Central then you should'nt write things down because what you write someone will always say things. Goood luck and hope you stick to your driveing career.

I am still a company driver at Central.
I will not lease with them, because as a solo driver there is just not enough money in it. Normally I take home around 700 a week. I had a few bad weeks around the holidays and start of the year, then a 1200 pay week this week.
It all comes around, so I figure the average is around 700 or so a week as a company driver, then the bonuses on top of that.
I get ontime delivery every load, unless planners made it not possable.
Productivity every month. Safety every quarter.

I just switched to kraft dedicated last week, and I will have to wait a month to see how the mileage and hometime add up on it.

As for the pimping the truck thing. That is on you. I will not put money into a truck (when I buy one), unless it will help my bottem line, or keep the truck going down the road. The long nose trucks are pritty, but I will take the extra 1 mpg, on the more aero trucks. That is money in the pocket.

I guess your right lonesomedove, i do have alot to learn and one thing i learned for sure is don't continually run 4,000 plus miles a week and take loads that they say are impossible to make and make them on time because i still make as much as a 2,700 mile check? Especially "?" on the coors fleet because that was the fleet i was on since i was with central and that was supposed to be the best paying fleet. I guess hard running doesn't pay and sitting on your ### all the time at central does? I had it in my head that the more i was driving and not sitting the more i should make, but they could never say anything but that i used to much fuel, well last time i checked when you drive your truck it needs fuel. I think they were screwing me on my fuel surcharge, though i haven't looked into it yet as i have been to busy working and looking for a better company. I only went home 2 days every 4 weeks to so I'm boggled along with many drivers i know that all quit within 2 weeks of each other (i believe we all said enough is enough). Oh and pimpin my truck out didn't come from my paychecks, im not bit*hing about blowing my money im sayin working for nothing is bull!##$.
