Need Info Please

Hello ! everyone I'm new to this site and was needing some info on Central Ref., I will be going to there training school in Dallas the 28th of this month, and I wanted to see if there is anyone out there that can give me some insight on this school in Dallas and how they house there students, so far I have heard nothing but good things about this company and I'm really looking forward to being out there on the road.

I'm new here too and all i have to say is they will teach you how to get a license and it is up to a trainer to teach you how to drive. Also don't lease with them unless you plan on teaming, solos will never make it.

I've been here since monday and so far it is great. But, make sure that you don't have anything on your record. They are very strict when it comes to that. THe leasing program is a joke. Basically, it's your truck but you still can't really do anything special with it as far as I can tell. I may be wrong, Lonesomedove correct me if needed. Basically, when you're done leasing the truck (48 mos) you still don't own it unless you want to buy it for its price at the time. Training is pretty good so far. I am at the Salt Lake school.

You will never buy the truck, ask anyone who has tried to buy it, they screw you over when the lease is up. Atleast anyone who i know that tried to buy it got screwed out of it. Also they make you drive 65mph even if you lease its governed, crock of #### if you ask me.

I just got my cdl through central yesterday. The housing is first week dorm(dorm sucks). second week Ramada(nice and there are some working girls there if you know what i mean). The school is a 2 week crash course, you should be a fast learner if you want to come to the school, if not go to schnider. Central school has the best contract for their school(no contract). Make sure your background is strait before you go. The pay is one of the highest for student drivers(only roel and schnider have slightly higher pay). School will rattle your nerves it is intense, hope you are a smoker

Guys I will save you the time I am wanting to get into the Professional Driving field and Schnider is not taking any inexperienced drivers what so ever. Just thought I would give you a heads up.

They do have a contract, its a one year deal like most other companies use. Stay for the year & they pay you back for the school, jump ship early & you will owe the balence of your tuiton.

Were you exspecting the Hilton?

Big orenge cut the school awhile back, there is a big pool of experienced drivers to pick from now so they don't need to train.
